Can anyone help me identify what this might be?

An elderly church buddy of mine gave me two of these the other day. Neither he nor I have a clue exactly what they are other than a big bullet! It actually has some weight to it and appears to have a lead tip and firing cap in the casing. I have a pic of it laying in my hand for reference (bear in mind I have huge hands). Could it actually be a live round of some sort or just a big paperweight? Any help is much appreciated!

A training round of some sort. Just out of curiosity, the top "Bullet" part does not unscrew does it? Just asking because I saw several things that were actually pens, and letter openers and such.

I tried to see if it would unscrew, but didn't apply alot of torque in trying. Didn't seem to budge.......

Shake it and see if you can hear powder inside of it. The bullet should be about .72" in diameter if you want to check.

Tried shaking it, don't really hear anything like powder moving. Might just be a worthless dud........
