I’ve been a member on here for a while and I’ve made a few transactions in the past. I moved to South Carolina a few years ago to be closer to my dad who is getting older and not in the best health. I love browsing here but I’m not sure members would be willing to sell to me since I’ve moved.

Yeah, unless you happen to find another South Carolina resident to deal with privately here on this Georgia based website ....you're gonna have to get an FFL involved to transfer firearms between residents of different states.

I knew I would need to use an FFL I just didn’t know if anyone here would want to bother with that.

For some, it's easier to drop a gun off at an FFL than it is to drive to a meeting place for a face to face deal.

It might be useful to change your location on your profile to reflect the fact you're in SC

I drove two hours to cross the border into South Carolina to sell somebody $1000 rifle one time. We met at a local gun shop not too far from the Georgia border and that local FFL handled the paperwork for us. I "think" this was an ODT deal.
It's been a minute.

I did that also but the other way. Met a guy from SC in Lavonia at an FFL.

I would have no problem going through a FFL to buy from a SC resident. But I live close to SC. There are also those things that don’t require an FFL. Asking a bunch of people who live in metro Atlanta suburbs what they think, they’re not going anywhere. I’d advise you just list something and lay it out regarding FFL requirement. See if you get interest.

As I understand it, a resident of a State may purchase a long gun (rifle or shotgun) from a resident of a contiguous State, but handguns must go thru an FFL.
