I have a 350 in a truck I recently acquired that has a solid lifter cam in it. It’s starting to get a little “tappy” and needs adjusting. The previous owner has no idea who makes the cam or any specs. I’m going to have to pull the cam to try and identify it. I would like to avoid that if possible and was wondering if anyone knows (for sure) if you can replace solid lifters with hydraulic lifters on a solid lifter cam? This is not a roller cam.

Nope
Lobe profiles on a solid lifter cam are different than ones on a hyd cam.
I'd try setting the lash at .004-.006 cold

I guess I should pull the valve covers and see what it's set at currently to start. :thumb:
