I went out on a limb and bought this gun because I have a few friends that own Canik’s and like them. I’ll start with the good. The Mete MC9 is accurate and has the best trigger I’ve ever had on a carry pistol. Now the bad. Every few rounds the firing pin is not hitting the primer at all. Not a light strike, no strike at all. No mark on the brass. Has anyone else had this problem? I am waiting on Canik to advise if I should send it to them but I wanted to check to see if maybe someone knows about a simple way to fix this and not have to send the gun away.

Caniks tend to get debris in the striker channel it will need to be stripped apart deep cleaned and lubed with some good light oil this could take care of it all together, hope this information helps in sure you can find a video on how to take it down to clean it.
Completely strip the internals from the slide, clean, lube, and reassemble. Like the man said above, probably debris.
If that doesn't fix the issue, send it back to Canik for repair/replacement.
