Canning jars

I am interested in finding some pint and quart jars for canning. This will be our first year canning from our garden. I appreciate it.

Jars are pretty easy to find. The trouble this year was finding new lids for your old jars. So take this advice... buy every pack of lids you can find. Oh, and save your bands. My wife would throw away the bands with the old lids until I caught her

Yeah, my wife's been looking for qt lids for a few weeks now.

My wife has been having a hard time finding the glass jars in stock around Gainesville and online.

Walmart in stores only. I saw them stacked up yesterday

Keep a watch on craigslist and Facebook marketplace if you use Facebook. I often see a lot of jars around me, but usually they are used and need new lids, which seem to be the difficult piece for me to find.

Which Walmart did you see them in? Up here in Gainesville, the shelves are bare.

Go to Amazon....plenty to be had there and you can usually have them the next day if you’re a prime member.
