Really?? Most of the reviews on it were good, of course you'll always have one or two complainers...most complaints were of batteries dying in the keypad.

I've never owned one, I just heard of that happening and would hate it to happen to myself. I would probably convert it to a dial lock if I get one.Really?? After a year or two or so depending on use the 9V battery gets weak, still beeps, but won't unlock and if you don't know or forget to simply replace the battery with a heavy duty alkaline battery the customer service rep will square you away.

Ive had mine for several years! Never had any issues but now I need a bigger one. May be time for me to sell mine and upgrade

the steel on the safari is a bit thinner then on the more expensive safe, and i think the 999 one has electrical/ethernet plug in it, and the safari does not
