It's supposed to put your body in a state of ketosis and it's only when you limit carbs like that is the only way your body produces ketones. It's also the only reel way from keeping you from getting dementia.

Your body feeds of the fat so not only does it keep cholesterol down it also puts your blood sugar back in line. My sister is on it and it kept her from going on cholesterol and A1C meds. It's really the way we are supposed to eat to begin with. Humans ate that way long before refined sugars and complex carbs were so abundant in the foods we eat these days. I went on it one time and went from 215 to 180. I am about to go on it again. It's expensive but you can eat all the bacon, eggs, beef, pork you want and loose weight by the pounds. I have been reading up on it and it's the healthiest way to eat. The best way to go about it is keep carbs at 20 or below so you get some sugar. Most of your bodies organs are made of glycogen ( complex sugars ) so a little carbs is essential in keeping those working effectively and in good order.

It is the best diet to go on that keeps the body in healthy working order. It's also the only way to keep your body producing those real healthy ketones that are not produced any other way.

In 6 months on carnivore I lost 65lbs. Never felt better. I eat beef, pork, chicken, eggs, etc. I only cook in lard or tallow. I only drink milk, water, or black coffee. Before I was 267lbs, high BP, High Cholesterol, now at a smidge over 200lbs, cholesterol and BP are now normal.

It’s a tough diet to maintain, especially when you’re busy. Cost isn’t so much an issue since we raise our own beef and pork.

In the past I’d tried other diets with no results, this is the only thing that’s actually worked for me.
