I'm thinking about buying a new CCW gun when my tax refund comes in.
Possibly a mid size (compact) 9mm in the $600 or less price range.

Here's what I've come up with so far:

Glock 19
CZ75B Compact
XDm 3.8
Bersa Thunder 9.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :smokin:

I have owned 3 out of 4 on your list. My most favorite to shoot would have to be the CZ75. This gun shoots much better than I do. As far as carrying I would suggest the G19 or maybe even the G26. Go to Eds Public safety and join the GSSF for $35 and buy yourself a new Glock for $425.

Glock 19 - lots of aftermarket accessories and parts and gunsmiths that can work it, holds its value well and easy to sell when you don't want it any more. And it's accurate and easy to shoot.

XDM9 is your best value. Shoots like a glock and comes with all the gear. 20 rounds in a small package!!
Can't go wrong with a Glock either.

Pick whatever you like but if you really are going to carry it a lot, try the G-19.
A large percentage of people who actually shoot/practice with their gun often wind up carrying the Glock... that is what most of the people who are considered professionals carry.
Over half of the people who take our classes trade or sell whatever to get a G-19 for all around use.
If you don't like it, you will still get most of your money out of it if you decide to sell it.
