Man ..I love the XDM 3.8, I hear the Glocks are great, but A friend of mine bought one of those Bersa Thunder 9..I shot it and it has feed all kinds of crap ammo flawlessly...pretty damn accurate too...I really liked the feel in my hand and the best part was that they only paid $259 for it...
I don't know if I would I would bet my life on a Bersa though.
Glock 19.. the only widely accepted, thoroughly tested pistol of the bunch. The 19 is small and light enough to carry everyday, but large enough to shoot like a full size pistol. It holds a lot of bullets, works when you pull the trigger and will literally last you a lifetime.
The CZ would be second on the list, skip the last two. There's a reason you don't see XDs and Bersa's in serious use. They just don't hold up.
I have a Glock 19 and a CZ 75 P-01. I have MTAC holsters for both. Today I am carrying the CZ. Yesterday I carried the G19. I love them both, they are the only two pistols I carry. You really can't go wrong with either.
Wow, that's a lot of votes for the G19! I will definitely look around and try to find some good prices on them, I have handled a few 19's and shot a G23. I do own a G17 2nd gen that I carry when I'm at work in the gun store, I like the feel of the G17 and G19, but I don't much care for the G26. The Glock is probably a little less expensive than the XDm, right?
The Glocks are cheaper than the XDms. I've seen commercial guns run $469+tax in Dawsonville. If you work for a shop, the standard commercial price is a little lower. If you are a GSSF member they're $425 once a year, twice a year if an armorer. If you're a LEO/Military/EMS/Airline pilot/etc its anywhere from $400-425 for a couple a year as well.
Night sights and .45/10mm or longslides add a little as well.
