Carry permit renewal. Only 10 days to get the new permit BUT expensive!

The most interesting thing I read is the State taking advantage of their rights, to allow state militia possession of full auto weapons, produced within that state and not subject to NFA through the commerce clause........

Wouldn't that be a peach and stick in the feds eye allowing common folks who can't drop $5-20K on a select fire firearm to be able to purchase them if they belong to a state milita. Hah!

FBI refuses background checks for CCW NICS exemption: http://www.thehighroad.org/archive/index.php/t-209017.html

So that leaves the 1993 Brady law and specifics required in order to obtain an exemption......

I just renewed mine in Rome. My original was from Barrow County and it was $42 five years ago and I got it 4 days after I applied. My renewal here was $75 and they said to expect it within 6 weeks...stupid

If there is money needed to be put forth to forward this constitutional reversion (back to it's original meaning), where might it be sent?

I looked up Ga.law on militias, and found that they were illegal in Ga.Ga.has a state defense force, but doesn`t allow weapons.HUH?Pitchforks, maybe?Concerning the GWL fee,I ain`t griping.Other states charge much more and require you to go to training classes. So,I will be content with what we have.I was turkey hunting in Tennessee this season, and was in a discussion with a Tenn.hunter, who had to attend classes and pay a whole lot more for a CWL.He wanted to know why Ga.folks didn`t have to go to classes to get a gun License.I told him that Ga.folks already know how to use a gun.

Odd, there was a group recruiting here a couple of times.... Do you have a link to where GA. Militias are illegal?

I`ll look it up again, maybe tomorrow, and post it.There is a militia in Haralson county that appears to have several members in a sub-division.I stumbled on to it while checking something out, then looked at the Ga.criminal code.and that`s where I read it.Seems the one I found has had some legal problems, but there was no reference with anyone being charged with being in a militia.Reason I can`t look it up now,is that I`m fixin` to head to Dixie Speedway.Later.Here`s the codes-Ga Code Ann. 38-2-277,16-11-150through 152.

Wouldn't that be awesome... To buy a GA made full auto, made new??? And at a fraction of the cost of a pre NFA full auto. And without the stamp.

Fed won't stand for that, no matter what laws we pass here. Our state gov would bow, and we will never see this become reality.
