owb holster and wear a untucked shirt or a tucked in t-shirt and a button down short sleeve shirt long enough to cover the holster
most folks who notice your carrying with the button down shirt bulged on one side prob carry themselves and know what it looks like ( and choose a lighter colored shirt it can get hot)

I prefer carrying in the summer. Cargo shorts generally have bigger pockets for easier draw of a subcompact, the normal hand pockets. I wouldn't carry in a big cargo pocket. And to me it is much easier to carry iwb in shorts for some reason. The cargo pockets are for mags. I'll even pocket carry a G19 in some shorts.

A holster is a good start. do you always wear a jacket or your shirt untucked or 2 shirts? just open carry?

Nope just a long t shirt. Enough to cover my pistol.

I got a N82 Tactical IWB holster last summer and its a great option for keeping sweat off your gun. Very comfortable too.
