Carrying in the Georgia heat

Ctac IWB, no undershirt or underwear, first little bit of sweat glues the holster to your side

For 20 years I used a Milt Sparks IWB but retired it 4 or 5 years ago & switched to a Comp-Tac CTAC also, although I find it more comfortable either pulling underwear up between it & my skin in warmer conditions or tucking a shirt behind it when I use a covering garment in colder ones.

I prefer it to the MTAC/ Crossbreed style because the leather gets sweaty when on the range all day outside in hot, humid weather.
I wear mine daily year-round... I mean everyday doing every activity except swimming. Even teach quite a few classes using it.

The all kydex construction works well for me when teaching, mowing, weedeating, working at the range or around the house.

Not trying to be a total DB or anything but its like khaki's and button down everyday. Just courious, I know that someone out there has tried those cc shirts with the zip pockets. Are they worth the 70 bucks?

I looked at the 511 tactical carry shirt and thought it was a gimmick. The built in holster is the equivalent of an uncle mikes soft holster. There is no true weapons rentention nore security. IF you run, it's going to bounce. It's not going to keep something out of your trigger guard, besides that, it is 70$, and you are going to have to wash it unless you want to stink. So unless you plan on doing laundry every day or buying 5 shirts, I'd pass. I know you wear khakis and button ups, and that's fine. Have you considered untucking your shirts and wearing something slightly longer? You could do the old front tuck style that some folks do. You also have pocket carry, shoulder holsters and ankle holsters. I believe somone makes a holster that still alows you to tuck your shirt in, if not, I will capitalize on that market.

I had a group of Drs' do a custom class awhile back. Their dress (dress casual) & profession required very discreet carry of a smaller platform... mostly small, lightweight .380's & .38's.
After trying different methods out repeatedly in drills on the range, they settled mostly on either pocket carry w/ a holster or the "Kangaroo" holster (which is sort of a minimalist shoulder holster worn under the shirt right below the chest near the ribcage). I believe one opted for a style I call a minimalist fannypack, for lack of a better term.
Two mfrs. are "Thunderwear" & "Smartcarry". They are worn under the clothes near the waist and are pretty stable and can be worn under all types of clothes including running shorts & sweatpants. they are also neoprene versions popular w/ runners.

The shirts such as the Kramer version have not good gotten reviews from the people that I know who have tried them.

I like button up shirts that you can leave untucked. I saw some good deals on Columbia fishing shirts that are nice at Stein Mart this weekend. Picked one up. If you get a button up shirt that has a pattern, it helps with printing.
