Casey Anthony – what's your take?

Has the evidence, and the evidence only, proven Casey Anthony guilty?

Heres my take.

She had been searching the effects of chloroform because she was using it to put her daughter to sleep early so she could go out and party. The reason there were so many searches is because she wanted as much info as possible so she didnt kill the child. Chloroform in small doses is not fatal and will actually put someone to "sleep" if used correctly. She took the risk. Unfortunately it backfired and she ended up admministering too much, resulting in death. I dont think she had intentions of killing the child but ignored the risks at the benefit of getting laid and partying.

I feel she either done it or knows who did. She'll most likely get a lesser charge with a tax payer extended stay, college education, cable TV and get saved by the lord while she’s there. .

i figure its something along the lines of what ccw said. if they find that way, she still could get death. from what i'm hearing, if that happened while committing another felony, its still considered murder one. the other felony being child abuse etc. very confusing. could go so many different ways.

Can you say "Extra crispy"?

I think the people who have shoveled this crap onto the TV for the last month should be jailed for brain-slaughter.

Sick of hearing about the b!*@%.

I think she will be charged with a lesser offense than 1st degree,I would hope nothing less than 2nd with a life sentence. With that she may be eligible for parole in 25 but I don't think she will ever get parole considering it was a child. She will have it bad in prison and will be somebodys biatch real soon,if she is in GP.With any luck she will take her own life and save the taxpayers the expense of everything free.

I dont know, she could be found guilty of negligent homicide (involuntary manslaughter) and serve 10-20yrs, if they prove that her acts resulted in the death of another, while no malicious intent was shown. I think it will end in a hung jury and will have to start over. I think she needs to be used a "testosterone relief" to all the male prisoners in Florida for the next 10yrs

Can you say DUCT TAPE?

See but this is what I mean (not picking on Vanguard, just claims like this in general). Granted, I do really think she did it and she probably deserves the needle.

But, the duct tape had no DNA and nothing on it that proved it was on Caylee; there's not even evidence that anyone even ever touched that piece of duct tape (a number of the experts testified that there would be DNA and prints all over the tape had it been used to cover someone's mouth) – it's completely circumstantial at best.

It's as if any of us had a .50 round in our car and the police said, "Wow you have a .50!? And you're a gun nut!? Well that means that if you have a .50 round then you must own a fully automatic Browning M2. AND since you have that M2, you just obviously killed [insert deceased person]!"

I think the b&*^h is a rotten psychopath and I believe she did it, either purposely or not, but still...I really would be shocked if the jury, who haven't been watching all of the slanted "fry her" media crap, determines that any real evidence of murder has been presented.

I've debated this subject with friends and I agree that "something" happened, but the prosecution hasn't proven beyond any and all reasonable doubt as to EXACTLY what happend, nor when it happend, nor who caused it to happen. Circumstantial...yes, maybe so, but beyond any and all reasonable doubt, not for me. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if the jury finds her guilty of a lessor offense just to punish her.

As to the duct tape...I am having difficulty understanding how the duct tape didn't have any DNA or fingerprints on it. Most anyone who has used duct tape knows how adhesive it is and when you grab it and pull it from the roll, in all likelihood you are touching some part of the adhesive. How could it NOT have any artifacts or trace evidence on it? This has been a sticking point for me.

I think this case really puts our justice system to the test.
