Ask the people of China how digital currency and social scores work. Say or do the wrong thing and your access is blocked or severely limited. Think of it this way, govt is getting too far in debt, they just "appropriate " some of your money and there is nothing you can do about it.

Your post was longer than I wanted to read but you don't have to convince me. A cashless society only works ONE WAY.
There's a gun shop here in Houston County that I have bought parts from before but not anymore. They have that Apple type point of sale terminal and they do NOT take cash. Well...I guess I can't come back.

Internet goes down for some reason and you are screwed. BILs family went through it with the hurricane that went through the Carolina’s. He said he would never be without enough cash on hand again.
