Castle/Stand your ground on your porch

X2 on the noise what if him and his buddy's were doing the same. I chose to live in the woods to avoid what others do. I like peace and quite.

I hate hearing the thumping of young folks stereo's at traffic light's but I don't think about shooting them.
This. my old man HATES when folks play loud music after 10pm or so, and he's a pretty laid back guy. First he goes and asks politely (his neighborhood is mostly Latino, but he's well known in the neighborhood and on speaking terms with everyone). If they refuse to turn it down and his pleas are met with deaf ears, he calls the local sheriff out. Generally, a police arrival is for GOOD reason, as he wouldn't call unless it was excessive- you know, like normal people.

If it's after "old man sleeping" hours, just turn the music to easy listening, turn it down, and grab a woman. Beats the heck out of having your neighbor hate you because you are inconsiderate.

...I can't agree with all that you stated but you're on the right track to research it... It is critical to learn these laws.

Agreed on both. I'm working off of a single MAG-40 class and my understanding of GA law. Like I say, I'm no expert, nor do I try and play one on the Internet.

From everything I've learned though, every single self-defense case is unique. Perception, politics, race, gender, location, attorney bias and skill, money, and the general 'gestalt' of the times can do more to determine the result of a self-defense case than the actual facts.

One thing that got pressed on hard at MAG-40 was that the average cost of a self-defense claim against a murder charge these days is well north of $100,000. Unless you have that kind of money just laying around, the very last thing in the world you want to do is take another persons life if it can possibly be avoided.

Agree on all points.
