I have had several over the years. I crossed my catahoulas with a black mouth cur dog from the Adams ranch in Florida. They are cow catching and baying machines. As much as I love my pets I learned early on not to get attached to these dogs because they have no fear doing what they love to do. I’ve had more than a few get killed by get kicked in the head, stepped on or driven into the ground by a bulls horns. I lost track of 3 of my dogs once when i sent them after a bull. I found them 3 hours later still hanging on to the bulls nose and ears. They were exhausted but never gave up.
On a positive note, I gave my mother a little blue eyed female puppy I raised the day after my father died . She was the best protector/house/lap/lay by the bed/next to your feet/ grandkid loving and friendly kinda dog. She gave my mom 17 years of enjoyment. Thanks Loupie. You were exactly what mom needed after losing dad.
