ccw holder steps in and gets LUCKY...

We don't know enough about the good Samaritan to say whether or not he made a good call. He may have had great training and knew exactly what he was doing. I'm glad he had the balls to step in and try to help, but I also hope he had the skill to handle whatever the outcome.

Personally, I don't think engaging three armed robbers by yourself is ever really a smart move. It's ballsy for sure, but unless I see people getting mowed down and killed I'm not intervening. It's not worth the risk to yourself, as well as those employees, for a few hundred dollars.

Man! I've always thought out scenarios in which me or me and my family are caught in a situation and how will I get ourselves out of it. I've never considered what to do if I walk up on a situation that's ready happening. Good food for thought. Glad it turned out well in this case.

Not what I would have done... call 911 and be a good witness from what I read. Maybe if they shot one of the employees it would be a different story, but possibly getting killed to save AutoZone a few bucks doesn't make sense.

I'd agree, call the police and monitor, if they started shooting people I might step in. I suspect if they've started shooting your chances of controlling the situation would be low though.
