If YOU were the first one to put your info on the 4473 for any firearm I kinda get why you might be just a little nervous about where it winds up. Personally I ain't worried about such things.
I have a Ruger P95 that I know has had at least two other ODT owners. Yes, it's a handgun and I wouldn't knowingly sell it to a criminal but if I sold or traded it tomorrow I ain't the least bit worried about where it winds up.
Anyway I guess the short version here is that some folks are just way more paranoid than others.

Good point. I tend to 'buy and try' guns. If I like them they stay in the stable, if not they go on the block. So yeah, in most cases my name is the one they will find on the 4473 if anything happens.

Still, I would put in a CWL clause if it's a gun that has some street cred, even if I got it from an another ODT-er. Mainly it just keeps some of the riff-raff away.

It takes some time to establish yourself here. Everybody goes through it. Just spend a little time on here getting involved in conversations so people get to know you some. Before you know it, you'll just be one of the guys. Going to an ODT show or a meet and greet and introducing yourself will help too.

All the P series pistols are heavy. Even the poly framed P95 is a brick. But you can't wear one out.

Past year, had 2 gang banger types, respond to a black plastic gun I had for sale. I say types, because I looked at their previous comments on other ads or threads, and almost every single one of them were " I'll take it" or inquiring about a meet. Plus the responses were in the past day or two from when they just signed on. So if somebody says I'll take it in 4 or 5 ads almost immediately, I get bad juju vibes.
