great pic
those things were all over my place, just left when all the tree buds bloomed.
they were imported from china late 1800's,kept as a ornamental bird.
beautiful bird.
check out a scarlet tanager or summer tanager, roufus sided toohee also often mistaken for a robin

We noticed a flock of 25 - 30 in our back yard last Sunday morning. They stayed for a couple of days, eating our Mahonia berries, and getting in our bird bath. We have been enjoying their visit about this time every year since 2007. This year, I noticed a couple of Bohemian Waxwings in the flock. I took several pics, but could not pick out the Bohemians. Beautiiful is right!
