I was curious if anyone around dooly county or the surrounding area shot centerfire or rimfire benchrest?

Centerfire benchrest?

The reason I ask is I shoot both not competitively but mostly against myself. Shooting and loading and trying to tune for conditions of the day has consumed me as well as perfecting my gun handling. I was curious if there’s anyone close that also enjoys the fun/frustration of trying to master the “5 in one hole”. I shoot with a diverse group of guys at a local range but mostly they’re long range or rimfire BR. I’ve found in the rimfire BR which a few of us shoot for bragging rights it’s nice to have others shooters input as far as conditions and help deciphering what the rifle is trying to tell us. I’d like to find others close that are into centerfire for the same reasons as I found it helps a lot.

A lot of improvements have or are being made at the Red White and Blue Range for 2021. Some are complete and others will be completed in the next few months . Tom hasn’t stopped since the last match in 2020 and words cannot explained how much time and effort he has put into this range to make it a must shoot on the Long Range Benchrest venues.
