will the ceramic coating fill or show light pitting? I have a pistol that needs a new finish. I was going to go ahead and have it reblued. It has some light pitting in places that I think is going to jack the price up to have polished out. The gun is a shooter not a collector and as much as I love blue a coating may be the way to go here.

The coating will not fill the pits, they will still show through the coating. You can use a Lauer product called Durafil that you can use to fill the pits, sand flush, then cerakote with good results.
