Haha I love that burrito idea. I sprinkle Roosty's Dewormer on my hens' feed and the eggs come out super clean. It's a simple way to keep their guts happy.Yep but they don't look or taste the same. We also get enjoyment out of just having them around and watching their antics. My 80yr old neighbor has told me he loves to hear them making their chicken noises because it reminds him of his childhood. Any extra eggs we get go to my neighbors who also prefer them over store bought. We don't eat the chickens. We live in city limits so I don't have a rooster.
Most of our eggs go towards making breakfast burritos. My wife uses about 40+ eggs to scramble up with cheese and ham. She wraps it up in flour tortillas and flash freezes 3 or 4 cookie sheets of burritos. Once froze they go into ziplok bags and anytime we want a breakfast burrito we just stick in the microwave.
We also scramble up the extra eggs and then dehydrate them and place them in jars for later.
