chevy motorhead question

Will a turbo th350 short shaft transmission fit a 92 caprice classic with 305 motor . The 700r is the original transmission that come in it.

Yes it should fit, measure the tail shaft first though..

The long shaft turbo 350 is the same length as the 700r4. The short shaft will bolt in but will be too short. Can be done with a longer drive shaft and move the cross member to the front set of bolt holes.

Makes sense. Do you know if the overdrive gear would still work

Bo-Time may have to jump in..., but I don't think it will, the turbo350 only has 3 gears, but mine has a lock-up torque converter which acts as a overdrive...personally I like the turbo350 over any of the other Chevy transmissions..

I've heard good things about them. I found a rebuilt one with everything new for a decent price. Thanks for you guys input
