Choosing a rifle scope

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this question or not.
What type of rifle scope would I get for a .22 or 30.06
Not sure of the best power or how to choose.
Any input or suggestions would be great.

That's a pretty wide open question. What do you intend to use the guns for and how often?

Some wise sage (300AAC-Hoghunter) once told me, when buying an optic for your gun, that you should typically spend equal to or double the price of the gun you're placing the optic on. And I haven't regretted that since.

as someone who has spent time around NcSTAR corporate on occasion I second this. not a fan of their company, their business practices, or their products. but that's just my opinion.
