Jazz Legend Chuck Mangione Dead at 84

Legendary Jazz musician Chuck Mangione, who rose to prominence in the 1960s, as a member of Art Blakey's band, has died. He was 84.

Told my daughter about this earlier today. Kinda looking like being on King of the Hill was somewhat of a curse. Although Chuck WAS pretty old.

I loved him on "King Of The Hill"

You know what's crazy? I thought he was a FICTIONAL CHARACTER. Then one day at my mom's house, I saw a vinyl record of him where he's hugging the bugle (same one as the one above in the YouTube video for Feels So Good).

I busted out LAUGHING because I NEVER thought it was an actual person. Feels So Good, for how overused it was in the show and overrated many believe it may have been as a song, is amazing and a treasure. I heard the live version of it with the vocals and my gosh, it was chilling.

Long live Chuck Mangione!
