yes its a live round jammed far enough down the barrel that it would chamber a 3" buckshot round behind it. yeah i should've checked it out better in the store but who would ever expect something like this to be the case? i couldn't have known by looking at it that it would have a broken extractor. you can bet I'll dang sure check for any obstructions in the barrel of anything else before buying. was an eye opener to say the least. i do appreciate all you gentlemens compliments & taking the time to look over my post. im just glad i got it today & figured this out instead of someone buying it & getting injured or killed by it.

Tread very cautiously around anything that starts with a “P”…. Many o man’s life has be ruint dealing with that.
Wow that could have gone horribly. I bought a 22rifle from a guy on here years ago that had a stuck live round in chamber Didn’t notice it until got home with rifle and started cleaning it as it was very dirty. It can be easy to miss. Thx for sharing
Wow, I’m glad you took it apart when you got home. I think you literally dodged a bullet there sir. That was chilling to read they would sell a firearm with a live round in the chamber.
Was it a 12 gauge shell?
