Classic wheel gun porn....

While searching for it had to recall what was in a unlabeled box. 10's for shooting. Nothing special except what they are. :) Snub is a -5 other is -10.

I was thinking about it but aren't those serials already verified?
Yes and no....I would letter it just to see what is put in it with that serial. Be cool to have a letter that says "first one shipped "
Finally had a chance to check out my floral holster that houses my New Model Ruger.. ALAMO Leather Goods Co, San Antonio, TX

Yes that's true I am hoping he will be at the Nra meeting this weekend and was going to ask him but it's probably worth the 50 bucks either way

She arrived today

I present a very nice 60-1 with it's original box. 3inch heavy pinned barrel with Square butt

Believed to be the first one of the 171 made. All the parts for these were made in the early part of 1970s in the experimental department at smith & Wesson and rather than scrap them they assembled 171. The serial range begins with R56962 which this one is. I believe I'll ask Roy Jinks about this one. Would be pretty cool to have a letter saying first one.

Be careful if you decide to shoot it. Since it's the first one made, they probably didn't get the bugs worked out of it completely.

You might want to find a guinea pig for that first few rounds... you know, just to be safe!

Congrats anyway on your prototype Model 60!
