Classic wheel gun porn....

These are the only wheels guns I have. One is special and on is just one I absolutely love because of the way it feels and shoots. The first is a Rossi that was made in the early 90's before Taurus merged and bought the molds and started manufacturing there revolvers. I helped my father ( God rest his soul )pick it out in a Roswell gun shop in the very early 90's. This gun is smooth in every way. It feels good in the hands and for a 357 it's just the right weight. In single action mode it has one of the smoothest triggers I have ever felt on a revolver. It's accuracy is unparalleled. Very small hole with six shot off the bag. It's when Rossi was advertised as Interarms out of Alexandria Virginia. I just love the look and feel. Not to mention the sentimental value because it was my dads. It is and always will be my first line of defense at home. Six hollow points with three speed loaders kept very handy just in case.
The second is very special. It is a unmolested 1883 Smith and Wesson nickle plated 32 with Ivory grips. I have had access to this gun since 1973( when I was old enough to appreciate guns ) and to my knowledge it hasn't been fired in almost 50 years. My Grandfather carried it every night working on the rail roads in the mountains of Virginia. It has the original finish with a little patina. I have been waiting to add this to my collection and just a few months back got my mom to give it up. She knew my father always promised I would get this gun after he passed. It took two years for my mother to part with it. I am proud to say it is a nice addition to my collection. I hope you guys enjoy this one hundred and thirty three year old gun. It truly is a survivor.

Yeah I love Rosewood smoothies....
How/why do some of those old smiths get that light blue coloring effect? Did they leave the factory that way? Have they been polished? Does that happen with age? Every smith I have ever seen in "real life" that is blued is always dark.

Lighting of the pic makes the blue look light. It's got the carbonia blue so it's dark in person like you are accustomed to seeing. I'll get my light box pics to show the finish more accurately.
