Classic wheel gun porn....

A working mans carry wheel gun: RIA M206. What I love the most about it is if it gets scratched it just adds character...

Scratching a Smith or Colt...well...:frusty:

Here's a scratched Smith....don't know about character....but it gets carried a lot and in all seasons and if not in my pocket or riding in my ballistic vest, it's in the console of my vehicle 24/7...a working man's gun.

Now that has the finish of a working man's Smith! That is well worn brother! I like.

There's something strange about scratching a new gun, while you hate it because it is no longer like new, there's also a sense of relief that when it gets scratched the next time it's not nearly as big a deal. Kind of the same thing when you buy a new car as well, at least for me anyway.

While I love a nice safe queen, there is something inherently beautiful about a well-worn tool that stands up to the test of time.

Ironically a guy from Rome at a meet just showed me one that looked just this worn today.

I have carried this little BUG, a 642-1, for going on 20 years. I bought it in 1997 I think, used from a fellow officer for $150. I bought the cheap holster at the same time for $12.00 new. That holster has ridden between the strap and panel of my ballistic vest all those years and held up great. In the winter I carry it in my jacket pocket, no holster, trigger uncovered....oh the horror! It has taken a beating, cosmetically anyway, over the years but I like the way it's aged too. Here is a pic with the cheap holster, that sometimes doubles as an IWB for the 642 or a Glock 17. That cheap leather holster has way outlasted the $12 bucks it cost, even adjusted for inflation, lol.

Edit to add: I wish I had a picture of the 642 when I bought it. It looked great, like new. But, I didn't take pictures of guns back then, lol.
