Classic wheel gun porn....

Hey Jake, well since you asked, Clint Smith is the owner, or was, of the shooting instruction school, Thunder Ranch. Smith & Wesson came out with a re-introduction of the original M21, a .44 special. However, the re-introduction of the M21 was not met favorably by the S&W groupies. This new model is a round butt, with the lock and what some consider a billboard on the right side plate. S&W purists, wanted a N frame square butt, without the lock and no billboard. They were highly critical of Clint Smith for allowing a gun made, with his logo on it to be such an abomination. Well, that is the history of this re-introduction. I like the gun, the round butt does not bother me, neither does the lock. I have always like the .44 special as it is much easier on the hand than the full house .44 mag. By the way, this one does not have a MIM trigger or hammer.

This is my latest acquisition. M21-4, .44 Special.

i saw that ad...with the display box right? i was very, very, very tempted to start my wheel gun collection with it....was it a good deal for what it was listed at? its just sexy lookin with the thunder ranch logo.

Interesting. Learn something new every day. Looks good to me. :thumb:

Since we are (or were) talking one-liners, I'll play.

One of the prides of my meager accumulation - a S&W .38/44 Outdoorsman, 6 1/2" Barrel, circa 1932.
