It's beautiful Sir.
A 17-3 is almost a must have for Smiff collectors. This one seems to be typical TommyT grade. I have used one with bird shot for many years to politely ask squirrels to stay off my bird feeders. If they don't comply,, change ammo.
Don't you just hate a squirrell that can't read those ACME No Squirrells allowed signs?
I got a buddy that lives at the foot of Blood Mountain and he is an avid birdwatcher..
He also has some resident black bears that enjoy fresh birdseed. For years the bears would tear down all his bird feeders.
He couldn't build, or repair them fast enough.
So he got creative, with some rope and pulleys.
That slowed the bears down for a while, but it didn't take long for the bears to learn to swing from a rope.
The feeder destruction continued.
But he would not hear of shooting the bears even with the rubber balls in 12 ga shells.
He feeds a lot of corn from a feed trough in the yard now, and the bears leave the bird seed alone.
But soon the Deer found the corn,as well.
Can't shoot them either.
