Classic wheel gun porn....

are you talking about Billy? Did he have several smiths with him?

Really do not know his name. 60ish gentleman with glasses. Had several smiths including a 41 and early model 66 with SS rear sight. Nice stuff. All clean.

I think I may have met him at the show in Cartersville recently. He kept telling me about all these awesome pieces he had AT HOME. But he didn't want to sell anything.

Yup that's Billy it's hard to get him to let go of stuff. Lives up near Aragon. He's starting to sell some stuff though since his grandkids don't seem to show as much interest in the guns. I've haggled with him for hours really honestly likes to trade. If it's the no dash 29 I'm thinking about it didn't have Coke grips. I'll dig around for his number.

That's prob the gun he showed me pics of then. He told me a thousand times that the grips were Cokes but the poc proved they werent. But he SWORE that the grips numbered to the gun...now I'm not saying they didn't....and I'm hoping they did number because how rare would that be?? A No dash 29 with regular diamond targets that Number to it? Yeah...would a been a big money gun just because of the odd factory numbered grips.

If they didn't number...$1250 was top dollar with diamond targets and not cokes.

Yeah if it's the one that he showed me it's about 80-85% condition with a possibly factory reblue. Did not have the correct grips. He doesn't know a lot about smiths. He thinks any Smith with a Unfluted cylinder is a Lew Horton. Needless to say I tired to explain to him that a 629-2 with unfluted cylinder was not but he wouldn't buy it. Anyways he does have some nice smiths.
