image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg Dad's friend owns 750 acres with a 80+ acre duck swamp on it. Slam full of beaver. He said he wants them gone. So hell ya! Deer season is over anyway so id love to continue to hunt. The first 2 picks are of the first one i shot at 200yards with my ruger m77 mk2 25-06. Big female probly 40lb weight. Last night i shot another one at 150 yards with my remington 700 bdl varmint 22-250 but sadly couldnt find it due to nightfall and rough swampy conditions. The 2nd set of pics are of one i snagged this morning in a snare and finished off with the 22-250. Good size female about 35lbs. Im sure there are a couple more hiding around and just got news there is a big one in our own pond so the hunt continues!

Its a blast! and definitely challenging. You rarely see them out of water, its hard to follow them through the scope while they zigzag through stumps and weeds. I wasnt having enough luck waiting to shoot them so i threw some traps in the mix to improve my odds a bit.
