My son decided to replace the headlights on our '05 Honda Pilot.

The new headlights looked great and he got a great education on how to take apart the front of a Pilot.

That resealing after the cleaning seems to be key as it has been mentioned couple of times, appreciate it!

I’ve heard buffing with toothpaste works. They also sell kits.

I used the Autozone headlight restoration kit on my mom's car, followed the instructions and it worked very well. Take a little bit of elbow grease but came out great compared to the way that they were when I started.

The automotive dept. at Walmart offers this service where I live. I got mine done for $ 44 dollars. Very happy with the results . It was done early last year.

Yeah, just think if you hit someone walking, the'll wake up with that just brushed taste / feeling he won't know what happened but his breath will smell good

Buy new ones and save your self the time, effort and trouble. Once you sand those things it starts the clock ticking and you need to do it again and again.

What kind of vehicle is it anyway?

I've used the toothpaste trick, which worked so-so in my case, then I used the flat stove top polish which worked VERY well without much elbow grease. I didn't re-seal, but may do it next time. But taping off and spraying with clear coat will take about 10X more time than the quick buff out with a paper towel and the stove top polish, so I may just buff it.

I mean, I could die before I need to do it again.
