When you pronounce the "L" it is pronounced "el". Now go check a grammar guide to see if I was wrong.

If it were "local" it would be "a".

By this rule, if the abbreviation starts with a vowel-sounding letter, the article used is "an"; if it starts with a consonant-sounding letter, it takes an "a". This would give "an NHS hospital" and "a BBC documentary".

I stand corrected. I was always taught to use the entire phrase instead of the abbreviation. :thumb:

Public schools FTL.

I've never understood the "no dogs" policy anyway. Any place that allows children should allow well behaved dogs. It's commonplace to see dogs in shopping malls, restaurants, and on the train here...no problems either.

This. My dogs behave better than most of the rat monsters I see at restaurants now days. Their parents let them scream and throw ****, all the while ignoring it like everything is normal.

Actually, when I go to someone's house, I abide by their wishes, not mine. Like you stated, its his store, his rules. The only places I don't shop are places that don't allow carry.

So let me get this right. you invite me to your house, your dog goes to attack me. You would not put the dog up? You would ask me to leave because I upset your doggie?

Many animals are better behaved than most people's curtain-climbers nowadays.

Nobodys dog attacked. Besides, of course a dog is going to be territorial when another dog invades its territory. You're comparing apples to oranges with your comparison of no dog coming to my house and what happened at CA.

CA even followed the law. The man refused to leave when told to leave by the owner, several times. He's lucky they didn't have him arrested for criminal trespass.

when you have guests over would you not put your dog away if it causes a problem? I would. I would do the same for that guy since he is a customer. There are ways to handle things and ways not to. Its his store though. Do as you wish. Just dont be shocked when people choose to not shop there.

I've been quickly reading up on ADA laws, they are serious. My views are now somewhat more in favor of the customer. Since Clyde Armory's open to the public they have a legal obligation to follow the ADA laws... and if there are gray area's then the slogan "the customer's always right" comes to mind.

It would have done a lot of good to call and apologize. I know that's a foreign concept in today's world, but he should have apologized for not leaving the property after being told to 5 or 6 times.

A lot of good can be done with a little contrition.
why would he have to apologize for clyde's dog having a problem with his dog?

Seems like if Clyde's dog had more training it would be able to distinguish between a service dog and a threat ? Am I off base on this thought ?
No i dont think so I have dogs that are trained very well disciplined.Idont see that doby being nothing more than his pet.Majority of dogs that are properly trained normally dont react unless commanded or provoke.
