CMP selling Tisas M1911 A1's

I'm on the fence about these. I'd like to support the CMP, but not feeling the Turkish guns.
Is it the quality that worries you or just not wanting to support a foreign company instead of an American one?
I'd venture to say that more than a few domestic companies are more anti-american than the importing ones.
The quality is on par with most decent lower cost production 1911's and certainly better than more than a few models in quality of work and function.
If I didn't already have my quota I'd be tempted just to support the CMP. After all they do operate on the sales they make and if they have to sell their products with a little mark up that's a low cost to pay for the service they provide.

Not sending any money to another country that hates us.
Buying cheap shet from overseas (and labor unions) is what has slowly killed off American manufacturing greatness.
Pay the extra dollar and buy American (if/when you can find it).

Both to an extent. I know the quality has improved over the years and I've read good stuff about the quality recently. I have a RIA and Auto Ordnance, which are decent for the money I paid. Not sure I really need another low-end 1911. I do like that it's a "close" repro of a WWII 1911.

Probably more concerned about Turkey being anti-American even though they are in NATO. I'd feel the same way if it was a modern Russian or Chinese 1911. You mention some domestic companies that are anti-American, are you referencing firearms related companies?

I think you might have an outdated perspective on Turkey and it's relationship to the US. Putting Turkey anywhere near Russia or China in this conversation pretty much convinces me you aren't up to speed on world politics.

Since when does Turkey "hate" the US?
