Colt Python .357

What you have is a satin stainless 6" with Colt Presentation grips. The scope mount and scope are after market. There is nothing to polish. If you will open the cylinder and look in the channel that houses the ejector rod you should see a S stamped there. That indicates it is stainless. If I had to guess at a value (based on what I can see in the pictures) being used and more than likely has markings from the scope mount, I would guess a value for the gun of $1800-2000. Not sure that the scope/mount would add any value. Maybe to someone whio intentds to hunt with it. But not to a Colt collector. BUT as others have said...It was your grand dads...keep it.

Thanks everyone for the messages and posts on the gun.
I would never consider selling due to the sentimental value, but appreciate everyones input.

Thank you for keeping such a beautiful piece, your kids will thank you, so will theirs! Nice pistol sir, that is one heirloom to be VERY proud of. Keep it in a safe as suggested, or shoot it, but being a python, I'd look for a really nice display box for it.

what a great bunch of guys here on the forum. Nobody is trying to buy it cheap or talk you out of it. Instead they are trying to tell you to keep it. Nice going everyone there is a lot of class displayed here today and I am proud to be a small part of this forum.

BUT...if you decide to sell it I will be more than happy to releave you of that piece of junk for a whooping sum of $257.45 plus $25.00 shipping. :)

Sorry just had to do it. Too much class is not good.
