I am having a heck of a time getting my convex blade as sharp as I would like. After watching youtube videos and reading tutorials I'm at the point where I'm afraid I'm just going to mess up the blade if I keep trying.

So, my question is, does anyone have a service they would recommend around Marietta/Woodstock/Roswell? Or, is anyone nearby that wouldn't mind helping me out? I'd be happy to reimburse you for your time. I'd rather learn how to do it properly than just hand it off to someone.

Thanks

Go to the Esee forum and look for the 91bravo user name..that guy is a genius….

I also hear very good things about the guys at Bartow Gun and Pawn in Cartersville…….good people.

Stropping, a good strop and compound followed by a ceramic rod / top of a car window works for me. A must have finish to all of the blades I use.

What type of of system / gear do you use for the first level of sharpening?
