I think you're right. Appears their "premier" line of stainless and perhaps their non stick is made in Ohio. Not cheap. The rest, by the commies.

My old stuff is Ohio. I hate seeing that happen. Especially on stuff I like!

Cast iron.
Otherwise take a little oil and more than enough salt and scrub the stainless with a paper towel. Should be on the dry side not very oily.
If you have the right spatula and heat in the pan...

pan review.....well, the new skillet functioned pretty good....heated quick, indicating it not as thick as my other carbon steel pans are....however, I don't mind that at all...I like fast!!!...the biggest problem I had was the brass handle....transfers heat FAST!!! I do like the high sides!!!
Still.... what's not to like about a carbon steel skillet!!!
