de Buyer makes GREAT stuff, in fact, it was one of my first carbon steel pans....the one here is my second, as my niece that lived with me for a while was gifted my first Eiffel skillet...

I almost wore this All Clad pan out....my early days of cooking!!!
It's basically retired now....love that patina!!! took a while to get that!!!

But, if you’re not willing to put in the time to properly season the and take care of them you might as well buy the cheap non-stick crap at Costco/Sams every year.
