They ask the same questions when you sell scrap brass casings. I have about 300 lbs of scrap brass to sell. Waiting for the price to go back up some.

keeping track of my property in some parts of town is damn near a pro sport for me these days
Since Georgia passed a law several years ago regulating the sale of used copper, you may have to show your DL and possibly fill out some paperwork at the recycle center/scrap yard. This law tremendously cut down on copper theft from homes under construction, under demolition, to stealing copper from outdoor HVAC units. For prices see http://www.scrapmonster.com/scrap-prices
did it really cut down on the theft? cause i dont think it did. might make it harder for some junkies to get paid maybe but they still steal whatever aint bolted down
Also call around and check the going rate. Call several scrap yards. I have found that each place will have different prices. Find the one with the best price.

scrap prices are REALLY in the toilet right now so best to wait. For some reason it follows gas prices, I haven't bothered to check into why . One of the member know it alls will a long shortly lol

probably because gas is used in production; so if the gas price is low then the demand for gas as a means of production is low so other raw materials arent in as high of a demand either (compliment products)

Well not that I smoke crack anymore ... Or any less than i used to...
But that being said last time i took copper it was like $1.46 a pound almost half what it was 5 years ago.
I can come get it if you like and add it to our pile....
