I threw my corded electric chainsaw away and went back to reciprocating. But that was 10 years ago.

Not enough weight to let the blade work

I have a dewalt 20 volt and keep a 20-60 batterie in it,keep it in truck Incase tree falls across rd at hut club. Very satisfied with big battery never run out of juice in saw.i also have a dewalt limb saw I use same battery for.

I personally go with whatever tool battery set up I use for other things, for example, if you have impacts drills and other power tools that are dewalt. Get the dewalt saw...etc. I buy Milwaukee...so when I need a new tool I don't have to buy more batteries, I can just buy the bare tools. If you aren't attached to a brand for other tools yet, look around and see if whatever brand saw you are about to buy has other tools you may need down the road....nothing is more of a pain than having to deal with multiple brand chargers and batteries.

How reliable are the 20V in the 60V saw?
It’s not a 60v saw its 20v dewalt makes a battery that’s called a 20/60 that’s capable with the 20 volt. It’s called a flex volt

This dude is the law on testing- Dewalt won first test, then Echo destroyed it in the follow on video.

That said, I run a Ryobi, uses same battery as my lawn mower, fine for small stuff up to 10" or so.
