China has quarantined Beijing now. Fox news even discussing possibility that the virus was accidentally released from bio lab. That cruise ship is looking more and more like a death ship. China letting cdc and who in today. Must be getting desperate. China forceably removing people from homes and sending to quarantine. Reports of people not sick being sent as punishment.

My Sister-in-law is the only person in her home ALLOWED to go outside. They aren't just encouraging one person to be the one to go outside, they are designating one person in each household. The gov issues them what I guess is the equivalent of a "hall pass" so they can go get outside of their home for food/supplies.

My wife showed me a picture of a banner in front of an apartment building? that I THINK was supposed to be a joke. It said "Go outside, we break your leg. Argue, we break your teeth."

Numbers are still growing, but I like the Infection rates dropping....

The number of confirmed cases is easly limited by the government limiting the number of test kits for the virus. If a hospital has 100 test kits on a given day, that sets the upper limit on how many cases can be "confirmed" at that hospital that day even if there are 10,000 people with symptoms waiting to be tested.

It has been reported that the supply of test kits aren't even 10% of those needed.

Things are starting to get serious.

Britain has now declared that the Coronavirus is a "serious and imminent threat to public health"

Medical staff have been given emergency powers to detain people suspected with the virus.

Police on standby to enforce quarantine.

There are some draconian level quarantine laws on the books here in the US. Haven't been used here in decades, but they exist. I first ran into them when one of the livestock diseases was thought to be loose in the US. We were informed that if it showed up on our farm, we would be quarantined for several weeks, and anyone that set foot on our property would have to stay as well, vet, delivery man, neighbor, etc. AHJ was the US Dept Agriculture. They were not playing.

If this shapes up as a real bad event, this will happen here, and will be very severe. Expect martial law, suspension of constitutional rights, etc.
