Anything that is indiscriminate takes an idiot. Anything that is indiscriminate in a suburban setting is a special kind of committed idiot.
Once trapped, you don’t have to kill if you don’t want to. Snare it and release it. Easier with two people. They damn sure won’t be excited to come back.

He's an idiot (or yanking your chain). Ask him to show you where it's defined as a legal means of taking. He could also lose his trappers license if he's doing it.
