What's the difference in placing a barrel of corn in the middle of a clearing and hunting over it and planting a food plot of corn, clover or other forage and hunting the edges of the field? Both instances are baiting an animal into a specific area and holding them there correct?
That, and primitive hunters baited game too...
Why hunt at all? Just buy your meat at the store, right?
Back home, we hunt over feeders for deer/hogs. We hunt bean fields for dove. hunt Clover fields for rabbits, and pecan stands for squirrels.
Bait is no different from scent blockers
Either way, those dudes had one epic hunt!
