Dawson Gun & Pawn had a case of 1000 PMC 223 for $500 last week (despite what their website says about not having bulk ammo). I was in there, saw it with my own two eyes, and almost bought it.

Well they only have to sell 1/4 of what they used to with prices like that. Look at gun broker pricing. People are still paying out the nose for this stuff

Yep. They claim it is for inventory control, and I'll bet it works well. They are working to build a reputation as the outlet that always has ammo in stock, if you are willing to pay a premium. I'm fine with that. It's their ammo, nobody else has it, price it as you please.
