Damn ****ty Bulldogs. Stinking up the place again.

When my kid told me she was going to UGA, I immediately thought of my friends who had gone off to Athens or Statesboro in the early 90's. I thought of all of the parties and weekends fuel by drugs and alcohol I had heard about when they would come home. I thought of most of them either came back in a quarter or two or are now dead or eventually woke up after mom and dad got them out of jail a few times. I told my kid she would find what she was looking for. I remember sitting in a deer stand Thanksgiving of her freshman year and telling her I was wrong. I was afraid she would make friends with the guy I was and live the life I did. I made those choices here and never went to college but my choices were the same as those who did. What my kid found was good things to plug into and get involved in and what she did was make friends with good people and friendships that will last a lifetime. Friends who looked out for one another when they did wander downtown to a concert or even when they make the occasional couple of state drive to catch some concert or sporting event. I think its unfair that we paint all college kids with a broad brush. All of them aren't lazy and spoiled brats. All of them aren't racking up student debt. All of them aren't getting an education they will never use. All of them aren't drunk and on drugs everyday. Some are doing good things. Some are working hard. Some are finding ways to add to their savings. Some are volunteering and making their communities a better place. Some are networking and trying to find their way and doing a damn fine job of it.
Lets get back to football
Go Dawgs!

My brother went to UGA... he's a Pacemaker guy now.

I didn't go to UGA... I wreck buildings now.

I don't agree with some of your opinions about attending college. It seems some parents raised their kids to do the next right thing and some kids listened. Nothing is 100%

Go dawgs

I gotta ask, you got a kid in school paying crazy premiums (on top of tuition) ? You seem to hate Ins companies all most...all most as much as me.
But I understand them, copayments & deductibles, eob's and the bills that come.
Insurance runs the world, touches everything. Even the commercials during the game 🤬. It is the #1 racket, which is why the guberment wanted its cut with Obummercare.
You say hard conservative, I say ULTRA hard conservative. I know my costs to the penny, as a % of gross, or any other means of format, no where near $2k.
Health care is expensive, equipment is expensive, r&d is expensive, but its worth it when you need it.
School is the conglomerate over multiple degree ventures. If any venture fails to "pay its way", that program is terminated for something more lucrative. Sports is the mainstay moneymaker, football followed by basketball, but engineering, accounting, underwater basket weaving, all have their...fundraisers, started in Elementary.
I'm ok with Becks $4m, I know HIS parents are, wouldn't you if it where your child? We all send our kids to school hoping they will use it to succeed.
If he was my kid I tell him get off A$&& show your great leader & QB instead of lazy punk who mind not own playing football anymore . To much partying & whoring around. If Smart was Smart he put Beck on bench Gunter Stockton would be starting this Saturday against TN. From my observation UGa Bulldogs have a lack of discipline team wise at this time.

Sure Beck has had his struggles this year, but he's not done.

It would make no sense for Kirby bench the guy who was 3rd in NCAA last year in passing yards, and is currently sitting at 11th.

GA led the nation in dropped passes going into the TN game.

As a prime example, Arian Smith's drop on the first play vs TN, could have set the tone for the game.

I know Stockton is a capable QB, but he propbably would not have had the night Beck did vs TN.

The Carson Beck who most UGA fans hoped we'd see all year, showed up last Sat., and had a great game.

Win or lose a 25/40 347yd 2 TD passing, and a rushing TD is a good game.
