I just sent DSS a PM regarding this thread...

http://www.theoutdoorstrader.com/th...-AR-should-arrive-in-mid-January!!!-Pre-Order

I arranged for a co-worker (non-Policeman) to buy one of these and he has yet to pick it up.

Very concerning indeed, great bunch of guys up there and I hope this is a misunderstanding of some kind.

I will reply to this thread if/when I receive a reply to my PM.

Sorry for the Dup post, you posted as I was typing

ANOTHER reason why I make the drive to Cherokee Gun & Pawn instead of going to Dana 3 mile or so down the road. The gal who worked in there didn't have a clue about their supposedly free FFL transfers for ODT'ers and the others manning the store on the weekend were equally cluess. Good luck with the LEO sales only. Their prices on firearms were'nt any better than the pawn shop down the street!!!

According to this (http://www.danasafetysupply.com/t-about.aspx) they were acquired by a car dealership holding company (http://www.scottmcraegroup.com/about_scott-mcrae_group.html) that owns dealerships in across FL.

Bet they got a couple of police car contracts and thought buying DSS would be a good 'fit' somehow.

Sad, and I'm also thinking it could even be somewhat illegal. After all, there is no law to back them up here like there would be with select-fire.

They certainly wouldn't be able to get away with saying they won't sell rifles to Hispanics or Blacks or Asians or Gays or Women. I'd love to see a local (or probably FL) lawyer with some deep pockets take this to court, just on principle.

Need to tell osteve to kick them off the site!

SERIOUSLY? Thats about a ****ing stupid idea. Why would osteve kick them off the site? Its not the local guys fault. This is a corporate decision that they have to follow. I am sure that they arent doing it by choice but rather to keep their jobs.

I believe that they are also a sponsor, why would you say "I dont want your money any more?" Just because they have lost their main on this site doesnt mean that all their advertising should stop. But a smart business man would also look at it and say why should we continue to stay in a market that our main customers are not.

Wow
there it is folks,
Who would make that decision and why? Watch others follow suit. Freedom is continually challanged and it has a price. Never have our freedoms been under such relentless, unmerited attack.

The stores in my area are really out of control. Full of peopel who just discovered freedom is under attack and empty of product. Waited 2 hours at my local regular range to shoot this week. Folks in there wiht granny's gun and paw paw's shotgun tryuing to figure out how they can defend themselves.

What is the defense for idiots like Dana Supply:?

Winning hearts and minds. Well Dana Safety Supply, you just jacked that up. I checked with them a couple of times on some rifles but always found it cheaper in GA 400 Pawn in Dawsonville. Very sad to hear that a company will no longer sell semi-autos to civilians. I'd say Dana SS is a sellout.
