I didnt read everything above but always goto those used tire places on the side of the road for tire patches, under $20 at most of them. Better if the guys working there are hispanic or country foke.

Three times in the past year I have taken three different vehicles to mcnabb for leaking tires. the last one was three days ago and they had to patch from the inside on that one. Each time I asked mcnabb how much and he always states nothing. I then go out and give the guy that did the repair the money. Mcnabb is always full of customers and I know for a fact that any elderly customer that comes in for any work always gets a discount.
Plugs have kept me going until I can get a patch. Tires Plus will patch any tire at no charge if you bought them there. Rotate & balance too.
This is correct.
It comes with two tools and some plugs.
The first tool is serrated to rough up the the puncture.
The second tool is used to put the plug in. You put simply put the plug in the little slot at the end of the tool. Then insert the tool into the puncture twist it and pull it out. It has its own adhesive that seals to the sides of the puncture.
The belts in the tire keep the plug firmly in place as it seals. Trim off the excess and you'll be good to go. It's an easy process and takes as little as 5 minutes.
You have to take the tire off the ground and pump It up. Then find the puncture, after that it's easy. It only works if the puncture is in the tread. If the puncture is in the sidewall the tire is no good because there's no belts there to keep the plug in place.
This is all you need and you can get them at any parts store or Walmart. There's no need for a patch because the plug is what makes the seal. A lot of tire places will take the tire off the rim and go ahead and put a patch in anyways. But that's just a lot of work for nothing the seat the plugs work just as good as a lot less work.
Unless you are handicapped or severely elderly you have no man card if you can’t plug or change a tire.

The car is my daughter's so I'm not plugging the tire. Plugs are emergency temporary repairs to get you to a store that can patch the tire correctly. If I had a way to breakdown the tire from the rim I would fix it myself. The correct way is using a plug patch on the inside. I took them just the tire to repair. $42 to repair a small nail hole in a tire using a patch that cost $6.00 is absurd. Justifying the $42 by telling me it's lifetime is also absurd. But hey, they would have given me a rose!
1875 for an electric water heater is fair assuming it is done by a plumbing company that has Licensed plumbers and Insurance. The task maybe in your opinion simple but, someone has to go to the supply house (big Box) and buy the heater, bring to your house, remove and haul away the old one. Then take full responsibility and warranty the heater plus pay HIGH insurance premiums just to be able to provide the service you would expect from a professional. I am sure you could get Bubba and a pick up truck to do this task for less $$ but should there be a problem after the installation I would bet Bubba would be no where to be found.
