Daytona beach 1890's

Rode my bike on the beach in '93 for bike week. Never again.
Agreed. ONCE! AND NEVER, NEVER EVER AGAIN!!! Funny thing. After that, I was getting ready to head to Chicago , then Milwaukee. On my way out my tail light dies as I'm getting set to go. I run into Killer Creek who took the bike in, a short while later the service manager came out and and it went like this.

Tech said to ask you if you have been riding on the beach. Surprised at the question I said yes, Daytona. He said good. He explained. Your tail light was full of sand and the wiring is corroded. Bad Ass tail light installed. Safely made the round trip.

Not to mention I have no clue of how I made it from one end to the other without dropping my bike. I almost did that on the entrance ramp. Didn't realize that sloped wet surface was wet. I tapped my rear break for drag and she tried to slide out from under me. That was a warning I failed to heed.

Here comes Biker now......:becky:
